What I’ve Got

I hope you have missed me, if only a little. The election draws near, and my energy this time around is anemic. I spend much time in other parts of the world. Places neither better or worse, just further away from our media. It weakens the passion somewhat.

However, Biden won. Face it he did. Ryan is clearly out of his depth, and scary. Also, despite Romney’s debate out-performance (full of untruths) he is still a really poor candidate. Do your homework. Anyway, a party that can not produce a better candidate, having had several years to prepare, is the not party I want in control of the White House.

  1. I missed you, but I haven’t seen my blog in months either. Florida is kind of torn right now, a lot of conservative small business owners here do not want Romney and that surprises even them. And then there are the elderly…..

Nice to know you are still alive.

  2. I know that I’d like to be in another country. Preferably one with a beautiful beach, exotic Asian female dancers feeding me grapes like an old fashion Greek God.
But instead, I live here being insulted by those that don’t agree with me. Do I insult first? No, but apparently any openly acknowledged disagreement is a welcome mat to personal insults.

Missed you? Sure. As much as my imagination can facilitate the absence of your digital presence from stateside.

    • BTW, scrolling your header page with the title over the woman in shorts picture made me think it was rolling movie credits, which I almost thought was symbolic.

      • Everything here is symbolic.

I think that the older I get the less I discuss my politics with anyone. Of course the older I get the less clear I am on what my politics are. Of course no one wants to be around stupid people. I spend a couple days with some random cousins and was embarrassed by their politics. Not because they are conservative but because they are stupidly conservative.

  3. Imagine, a government that doesn’t respect the rule of law, defends the exploitation of those who can’t protect themselves, and sees their version of the creator as the one true God: hmm, Republican or Taliban?

    Good to “see” you Cooper!

  4. Good you’ve returned. I thought I’d have to notify the Força Nacional de Segurança Pública.

Go Obama….or whatever. I am not over enthusiastic this time around so my money went out late. The question is….was it in time?

  5. I suppose I’d be anemic with my energies too if I didn’t have Warren to pound the pavement for. I’m pretty sure I have a handle on what Obama has been doing and I’m pretty sure that I agree with the overwhelming majority of it given the circmstances, but yeah, there’s nothing terribly exciting about what’s in store for 2013. I enjoyed last night’s debate though. The same Mitt Romney showed up, only this time he had an opponent.

    • For me it’s that until recently I’ve been out of the country more than in, and sometimes it makes this country and it’s problems seem so small. It is however paramount that the leaders of this country are the correct leaders. The world is catching us, but they still depend on us. Mistake are expensive in terms of life.

  6. Like everybody else I have missed you. But I miss you more. You remind me of a time when women bloggers could talk about anything and everything. Despite the womenblogosphere becoming one non-random binder it feels as if we have become relegated to the kitchen of the mind.

Anyway I’m glad you’re here if only for a hot sec!

    • What people fail to realize is that our public policy is foreign policy. They have no understanding of how it relates.

  7. Long time. Plenty to update. Got into Valparaiso U. for an MBA program. (You might know about them if you ever watched NCAA basketball…) Start in Spring 2013, part-time.

I landed a contract job recently that pays 45/hr until the company is willing to pay a fee to keep me on to Butler America, or determines I am overpaid. Either way, I am saving it for my next steps. As I result, I dropped out of Purdue, unofficially. Money, what an MBA is suppose to teach, was the root of my evil decision. So that’s my last month.

Hope all is well. I am better off than 4 years ago. So, I will vote for Obama (I would have in any case), but I bet a few idiots will vote against the tide of their pocketbooks. Enjoy the new look blog. I need to blog. I need the time. ;)

    Later.
