Wonderland or Not

I’ve never been so happy to be out of the loop of pop culture and into other things. I’m relieved I’ve never felt the need to hypothecate my humanity by entertaining myself with idiotic garbage, or finding the stuff rolled out by Gawker Media the least bit interesting, or entertaining.

And yes I’m going to post this again, because it rocks.

I want a piano, if anyone is taking my list. ;)

New Rule: All Pundits should be muzzled for a year prior to a presidential election. This outright misogyny is going to motivate woman to vote for Clinton despite her policy, her shift further to the right, her sudden concern for the economy, and her expert chameleon like qualities.

Media Matters is calling for help in ending the public and chronic misogyny of the dick-less Chris Matthews. Well, he is a misogynistic pig, and his dislike for Hilary is even stronger than his dislike of woman in general. You all know I despise him as much as Doug despises Lou Dobbs. Why can’t we all just shut those cable news shows off for a month or forever?

Clinton is now playing on the anger of woman, many unaware of her history and her politics. I’ve spoken to my mother about this, she agrees. The queen of the twin sets is both observant and thoughtful when it comes to politics. She has yet to decide where her vote will go, but she sees a lot of woman her age, incensed by the misogyny, are falling for “this weeks Clinton”, without actually having a logical reason other than she is a woman, and she’s getting beat up by the boys.

Senator Clinton is doing a good job of gathering the girls, and whipping them into a frenzy. My mother is not sure if this is the path to electing the first woman president. I on the other hand am positive this isn’t the way to go.

Mr. Matthews is a good barometer as to how far we haven’t come though, so by all means gag him.

Then vote for Obama.

Speaking of sexist assholes, Bill Maher sucks without his writers. I thought he’d be better off the cuff, but it seems his waning charm and wit are studied after all.

They’d never use the term Bitch in Saudi Arabia, they’re much too civilized for that.

I just saw this link at feministing dot com, and wanted to share.

This is the “Beat the Bitch” policy of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia, a country where they beat women for getting raped, and beat them more should they try to plea their case to the media, or anyone else for that matter. If this display of barbarism doesn’t produce a sort of nauseated dysphoria you are simply not human.

Mr. Bush, these are your “friends”, how can you look these assholes in the face, never mind do business with them? “Good Christian” that you are and all and all this should make you sick. Right to life doesn’t mean right to life without unjustified beatings?

I think we should organize and covertly ship stun guns to women around the world.

On second thought, maybe real guns.

I realize we are not out of the woods here. I get more hits from searches for “fun with rape” and “rape fantasy” than for most other subjects. Oh, I know they don’t beat us here, they just blame us or find joy in humiliating us. It is with sadness, yet certainty, I know “Beat the Bitch” will elicit many searches. To know what people are looking for produces an eternal melancholy.

I have to go to the art center for an emergency board meeting.

Do art centers really have emergency board meetings?
