Happy February 29th.

This is the first February 29th for this blog. I began at blogger in November of 2004, missing the leap by many months. If this is to be one of many leap year posts, or the sole leap year post for “wonderland or not”, I can’t say, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Historical documentation, and all that.

I’m on break. I will be working, but I am off official academic instruction for the week. I will be sitting around in this very apartment with a few friends on Tuesday watching the election returns. There will probably be beer involved. Just thought I would give you fair warning.

A quickie, because if I don’t get it up it won’t be a February 29th post.

Politics:

The only thing I really want to know, beside when this very expensive war is going to end, is when is the price of asparagus, tomatoes and lettuce going down? How about gas? I drive forty-five minutes to school, four days a week, in a gas efficient vehicle, and the gas prices are killing me?

Besides how can I ride around in my hypothetical convertible, with the top down showing off my perfectly toned arms and nice teeth, when all I can afford to eat is high fructose corn syrup based products which will soon rot my teeth, and add some serious fat cells to my arms, not to mention my ass.

Women’s Voices: Women Vote: A web site with “one goal in mind: Improving unmarried women’s participation in the electorate and policy process”, is celebrating “Womens History Month” with a Female Blogger Contest to honor women who have utilized the internet to amplify their voices.

I received an email today telling me I had been nominated. If you know a female blogger who is using her voice in regard to politics, policy, society, using her voice to discuss something besides her, perfect no matter what size, ass, (which I honestly only do when I have nothing else to write about), you can nominate her via clicking the graphic of the very joyful looking woman on my sidebar for the weekend.

Go see who the “Famer” of the week is this week. You will certainly agree on the choice I’m certain.

Peace
