If asking your Daddy or brother Josh what to wear ( sorry didn’t mean to get you involved bro) isn’t the creepiest thing you have ever read please feel free to check out the great modesty survey being released on St Valentines Day. (Survey Here)
This gives me the willies on so many levels.
Just the prologue leads me to believe that these boys / men believe it is alright to blame women for their pathetic actions by virtue of blaming the way women dress and attributing all this to God’s will.
I can’t help but get the big time creepies to think that girls would be taking advice from fathers and brothers on what to wear in order to prevent the “destructive effects” there-in. The sad part is there are actually some girls buying into this.
From their blog:
“The overwhelming response to the idea of a modesty discussion confirmed its importance. Some Christian girls have fathers or brothers to provide godly input on their attire, but many more have none. Many girls seem oblivious to the destructive effects of immodest attire on their brothers in Christ. Others desire to honor God and to protect their brothers, but don’t know where to start”
So, if you don’t have a father or brother to tell you how to dress, in order to prevent the destruction of the male species by their own base instincts, (caused by your potential immodest dress), this survey with set you straight.
I wonder how this kind of brain washing begins because it is brain washing. These guys were home schooled, there will be a lot of assumption about that I’m certain. My very first…uh “real boyfriend” was home schooled until ninth grade, comes from a family full of priests and deacons and such and believe me this doesn’t necessarily come from home schooling. I mean look at the naked gymnastic people they don’t wear any clothing and there is some home schooling going on there I believe. ;)
I wonder what is so wrong with learning self respect, and respect of others regardless of dress.
I wonder when people stop blaming their faults on the way others dress, look, eat, drive, smell, talk, fuck, and piss.
I wonder when god will stop all the rape, murder, starvation and abject poverty in Africa.
I hope that next time these people are discussing their future surveys with god they will ask him those questions.
Thanks to my friend Kait for the link.
