]]> I’m sitting here contemplating Florida’s law. You know the one that allows any clinically paranoid racist to defend himself against the unarmed black man by pursuing and murdering that man in cold blood. Comprehension regarding this case has yet to reveal itself to me. I sit here thinking Southern Man and The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll. That whole “America is great” thing is quickly losing it’s ump.

Since I last wrote here, on a morning run behind a power plant near the Olympic kayak training ground, I was attacked by several long neck geese. Maybe more to the truth would be that I was seriously hissed at by long neck geese. “Attack”, for the sake of this old abandoned blog, pleased me more. Geese, by the way, are significantly larger than one assumes when observing them from a distance, and likely not good candidates for pet of the month. I also managed to take a lengthy cycling trip on a very gravelly road for more miles than my inexperienced crotch should have attempted. Saddle sore doesn’t begin to cover it. Somehow, during the aforementioned ride, I was stung by a flying menace. I consequently developed a huge painful welt that I couldn’t stop touching. Unknown to me was the fact that I had probably touched some kind of poison during the ride as well, and the result was poison on my whole left upper arm and shoulder. Currently the left arm and shoulder are covered in what is most likely poison Oak or Ivy. Seriously it’s only March, how could this be?

I played 115 games of words with friends while at an airport waiting for a delayed flight in Santiago. Traveling is not bad when Chile in March is part of it. Chilean men are a pleasure to behold. Yea, whatever.

]]> Funny isn’t it, how freedom rings. We slaughtered Indians in this land of the free — to make it our democracy. They slaughtered a tyrannical demagogue, a mass murderer who made political dissent reason for execution.

Is the barbarous murder of the leader of such a vile regime wrong? Murder is wrong, but there is so little outcry for the masses murdered by murdering tyrants worldwide that I barely have the energy to care about a murdered murderer who danced with many stars. It sickened me, but I’ll not judge. Libyans will deal with this barbaric act of retribution on their terms. I wish them the best.

Brutal conquistadors and despot dictators everywhere beware.
