About

Wonderland or Not is the blog of the millennial bad poet, policy geek, and part time social and cultural critic known about town as cooper.

You’ll find here the daily leftovers of a slightly tortured, if at times unreasonably idealistic, mind. You’ll discover the bad poetry and prose of someone with little talent for poetry or prose, and no desire to be a poet or writer. I write of things which give me headaches or constipate, things I love, things that concern me, or things that make me laugh. I seldom write about myself. I may write about my brother. That this blog sometimes serves a purpose, other than catharsis, is happenstance. This blog was never meant to have a niche, and never meant to have a purpose, except as noted above. My life is in the real world. Off line, and off limits.

other stuff:

I was born in Vermont, grew up in Tasmania, did a child stint in Venezuela, went to high school in Maryland, went to college in NYC, and am attending grad school in D.C.

I have a B.A (Anthropology), and a B.F.A. (Photography). I’m working on a M.P.P./M.S. (Foreign Service), a multidisciplinary dual degree, with emphasis on research and analysis as opposed to management. Consequently I am a candidate for post grad work in a variety of disciplines — of which I hope surfing is one. I am currently a part time analyst in needs assessment for the Commission on Women at the Economic Development Commission in my county. Please feel free to email me for more information.
