I wanted to add some color here for the dullest and darkest month of the year. Do you think there is hidden meaning in my choosing grey, with a mere touch of purple and raspberry, to color up the blog?
In February 2006 I wrote a post called Bode, Bode, Bode. I don’t know what is more sad, the fact I’ve been blogging since before the last winter Olympics, or that I wrote a post about Bode Miller.
Gray and farting do not go together as everyone knows the color of the methane/sulfur mixture is an eye-watering yellow.

Bode Miller is as wild as the Notch from which he issues.
I’m kind of fond of gray despite it’s not being directly related to farts.

Oh, I think the latter. Although I did have a 45-minute conversation last night about curling, so I have no room to talk.
Also, I think January is much worse. Of course, I was born in February. Our slogan is “Hey, at least we’re not January.”

A 45 minute conversation about curling – sober – would give you no room to talk. February is suicide prevention month – there has to be a reason for that.
The difference between Bode Miller and Shaun White is that one was a total asshole last time around and the other was not. The rest of the athletes came somewhere in between. Each having small assholish moments but none as large a Miller’s.
I think the latter too. Of course losing sponsorships makes one less of an asshole in public. ;)
Using gray to color something up is a cooper trait for sure.

Bode always tweeked me the wrong way.
The best thing about February is that it’s so short. I like the new look… it’s got just the right amount of color. I tried to care about the Olympics, but I failed miserably. Curling does look like it might be fun if beer was involved.

Francis, Not short enough for some people. It started off fun with all those blizzards, not it’s just tedious.
Bode is sick, though I think the latter is more worrisome in the long run.
Tell me again why ice dancing is a sport? If ice dancing can be a sport curling can be a sport.

I have no idea why ice dancing is a sport to tell you the truth for the same reason rhythmic gymnastics is – I guess.

This gray is exactly the color of my winter coat–I’m the only person to wear one here despite the weather being in the 30′s until this week so of course I love it–it’s more silver
