Other Suggestions Haiti

January 14th, 2010 by cooper

I’m taking off for the weekend, meeting family somewhere south of here, maybe Puerto Rico. My father an architect and engineer, as some of you know, will be heading to Haiti within the next three weeks — not during the current situation but in a different stage — we’re having a bit of a family get together.

In the meantime, if you have nothing to think about and want to do something for Haiti, but don’t have money — or even if you have given, check out the following information offered up by sites from Wronging Rights and to Amnesty International to Change dot org. The suggestion is to contact the White House and tell them that you support granting Haitians Temporary Protected Status (TPS) immediately.

TPS is a temporary immigration status, lasting from 6 to 18 months and does not lead to permanent residency in the U.S., this step will only give Haitians the opportunity to remain safely in the U.S. until the situation on the ground in Haiti improves and they can return home.

The Wronging Rights sites explains it well enough, so please click on that link to check out what to do.

Not to be outdone those crazy old scientist have pushed back the doomsday clock by a minute, so it’s all good.

Doomsday Clock set back by a minute

PEACE

My employer, Adobe, not only donated $50K, but is matching all employee contributions (up to $5K) 2:1 — grateful to be working for such a company…

They granted tps yesterday. I heard that much anyway — still morning Tiger as I am.

I forgot about that clock, and find it funny they turned the hand back a minute.

The teabaggers are already pushing against TPS and are calling it “the haitian get out of jail free program” and other such foolish things.

Is there anything the teabaggers are for, or do they intend to spend their sorry lives complaining about everything? 52 orphans arrived in Pittsburgh today, ready to go to good adoptive homes. A couple of teabaggers were there protesting. unfrikken believable.

Complain and invent conspiracy theories. What’s more is that most of them are on welfare, Medicare, disability or have tax payer funded jobs. They are no more against Big Government or taxes than they are against talking about how patriotic they are.

Lil girl, you always seem to be on the ball.

My face is starting to wrinkle, I hope they push the clock back farther.
