Dubai built the tallest building in the world only to have to name it after the ruler of Abu Dhabi, this due to a 10 billion dollar loan necessitated by a bit of a budget deficit. We aren’t the only country that overspends.
Quitting because you realize that you should be reading the bills you pass, or don’t pass, and you are too old to work that hard.
I vote for a mandatory “back to the real world of he people you represent” exile for all legislature every 8 years anyway.
On a positive note:
Annie Lebowitz found exploiting, by way of Vanity Fair, some old photos she had of Tiger Woods was a good way to pay off some of her debt.
I want to contribute to your need to keep those resolutions I am pretty sure you made by asking you to get out of the chair, step away from the desk, and move (dance if you must but at least move), to this song. Believe me you will feel better.
I should add there are many versions of this song done on what seems like all of her tours, and she is still doing it 20 odd years later, it certainly can’t hurt to move our ass a bit. ;)

My brother spends a lot of time in Dubai, I have no desire to go there though the tower would be fun.
I am intrigued at her staying power and by the old videos – Desperately Seeking Susan where she had like a New Jersey accent or something.

She doesn’t have a great voice but she is a hell of a performer. We saw her in Buenos Aires on the sticky tour, my wife is a fan, and not only was she good, she was almost great, and they adore her down there.

Yes at first this old Madonna song gave me a sense of freeing, but as you know, I’m old. So then it reminded me of 7th grade school days. Confusing times. Long time childhood friends were splitting off into different directions, some jocks, some preps, others bookworms, and me not know which so I stuck with drawing Voltron, because he defended the Universe with his blazing sword.

Of all her songs, this is one I forget about.
