It’s Old School Friday and the theme is Tribute. I don’t have a band, or an artist, I care about enough to pay tribute to. This might be due to the terrible week I’ve had, as usually I’m more than willing to pay tribute to art and indifference equally.
Once I decide to start reading a blog I usually keep reading, even if they post rarely or never. It takes me a long time to decided to read someone. I don’t have that much time, and floating around the web, and forums sucks what little time I have. Blogging was never about branding for me. I have a job, a career, school, “contacts” crawling up my behind. Blogging is something else. The feelings, opinions, and bad poetry, burned on these pages are these only branding you will find.
My old school friday is a redundant tribute to my blogger friends.
I’m doing a rerun on this old school tribute friday. A year ago I posted They Don’t Know . Old School Friday themed Tribute is a good time as any to post the video again.
I haven’t updated it, I haven’t had the the time, though one day I will. If you are not on it it’s because I ran out of room, or had no idea who you were last year. It is symbolic after all, and you know if I read you.
Like I said when I posted it originally, it’s 4 minutes of your life that you will never get back, but what the heck.

Hey, anyone who can get on Cooper’s list is well worth the time to read so that video is a definitely great tribute.
I think the biggest tribute, though, is the fact that she’s still around to both post and then re-post a tribute to all the blogs she’s been reading for the last 5 years.
In fact, she’s one of only two or three blogs that I consistently read these days.

At this point it time it’s like running. I feel shitty if I don’t run so I do it.
I used to blog more with the interest of questioning philosophical ideas & being entertaining, which I believe trivialized myself into a caricature.
Many years ago I was given the choice to be more entertaining, but I knew that doing that meant doing what people want, not what I want. I’d decided being me suited me better, even if it meant being unknown.
Sometimes the more you give people the more they take for granted, and the more you lose of yourself.
