Letterman called it transcendent. Of course he’s right, as regardless of my disbelief in the God of Christianity, my dislike, in general, of country music, and my disdain for lyrics alluding to “blond and red haired chicks, I kind of liked this song. At the very least I love the marquee line.

No, I actually liked it in passing. I had Letterman on while doing something or other in the other room. and I heard him say “transcendent”, so I scurried in to listen, and now I am pretty sure he’s on “something”. ;)

I was watching last night. Well, sort of. I was on the couch, my back to the TV, when he started singing. My initial thought was “This guy is really off-key.” The video sounds a lot better :)
