God Is Great, Beer is Good, People are Crazy

Letterman called it transcendent. Of course he’s right, as regardless of my disbelief in the God of Christianity, my dislike, in general, of country music, and my disdain for lyrics alluding to “blond and red haired chicks, I kind of liked this song. At the very least I love the marquee line.

24 Thoughts on “God Is Great, Beer is Good, People are Crazy

  1. Partially right. Beer, some beer, is good, and people are crazy. Yes they are.

Typical bar talk. Makes the best songs and song titles.

I’m not sure, after reading that first line again, if you really like the song or are being sarcastic.

    • I would’ve liked to see the title
God is great, fear is good, people are crazy, only to be able to ask the question, “if god is great, and fear is good, why do they make people crazy”.

No, I actually liked it in passing. I had Letterman on while doing something or other in the other room. and I heard him say “transcendent”, so I scurried in to listen, and now I am pretty sure he’s on “something”. ;)

  2. well 2 outta 3 ain’t Bad!! ;)) dat is a Catchy Tune + me being a Sucker fer Cry in yer Beer 2am Closin’ Time + Scoutin’ fer a Hot Blondie or Hotter Brunette like U Coop I can definitely relate!!*********

    • I knew you wouldn’t argue with the beer part, and people being crazy, well that is just a fact. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  3. I think God’s atheist, I don’t always like beer, but people being crazy? Nooooooooo!

” Crazy Makes Me Normal By Default ”

It’s a good song, even though it makes me want to drink beer, & burp up bad heartburn carelessly for a few minutes.

Too dammed irritable. I think it might be my time of the month.
