It almost appears she was murdered possibly by a contractor, but the case is so obviously a poorly done cover-up I wonder if the military just assumed no one would notice, even her parents. This is really one of the most horrific cases I have read of, though there are many cases of rape in the military...seems don't ask don't tell involves things other than sexual preference.
