Online Vacation Bliss

I haven’t accessed the internet since Friday. I’ve used the computer of course, my work is on it, but until this morning I’ve not accessed the web. How nice it’s been not having the internet albatross around my neck.

I’ve enjoyed spending a couple days with my mother, she’s off taking some practice rounds this morning, giving me some time to recover from couple days of too much food and sun. I must make a point of trying to find pieces of time to spend with her.

This slice of Florida would be a nightmare to live in, though there are some nice places to kayak, the surf is pretty lame, and though the ocean is pretty enough the area is full of nothing but upscale shopping centers, men and women in golf attire, and overpriced restaurants. A semblance of wealth, yet even here the number of “for lease” store fronts tells a different story. There are real people living around here somewhere I’m sure, but give me Miami to this any day.

I had a masseuse unleash her fury on me yesterday. I’ve always been a “hurts so good” kind of girl, so this worked well for me, and
running on the beach is easy on the legs and great for the bottom of the feet, so I’ll be good to go when I get home.

I’m heading to the gym for a few, after I dig up the cart with the toilet paper on it that is. A sign of the times, there is no extra roll of toilet paper here. I’ll go with my mother this afternoon and suffer through a facial. ;) Her friends are all arriving today, and this evening I’ve acquiesced to dinner with the lot of them. It’s my responsibility to know who my parents are hanging out with.

Flying out at the crack of dawn, heading right to school. I’ll be catching up here and there.

peace
