Time is short today, to catch up on you I must disregard me. So here ya go.

Do not judge, and you will never be mistaken.

  • I love this. Every time I watch it, I start to tear up. Just goes to show, you can NEVER judge a book by its cover.

  • Wow. just. wow. I forgot that there aren’t workers here and wasn’t going to watch but I could and wow. Amazing. I have to watch again and learn a few things about life

  • I am here, bawling like a baby. You never know what is hidden beneath, do you? Amazing…

  • Simon looks pre-orgasmic.
    Point taken.

  • That was truly fantastic. Les Mis is my favorite all time theatrical production.
This is true beauty. Perfect quotes.

  • I wish they’d edited out the characters in the wings. And the moral is almost too obvious. Makes me wonder if it wasn’t all choreographed beforehand …

I once played in the pit for a series of Les Mis performances. OK, it was a youth production. But still.

    • Amoeba, it’s nice to see you, and to think you came all the way from Hawaii.

From watching other clips from the show they pan to the judges constantly, and to the side wing MC’s,who run commentary throughout the performance — so that is pretty routine.
It looks to me from what I’ve read that the judges don’t know ahead of the initial show, which this was, but I’m sure the MC’s heard her, they’d have to practice on the stage.

  • I’ve never seen Les Mis.

    Or Rent.

Does that make me a bad person?

  • I’m a le Miz fan, and this is my favorite song to sing when nobody else is around. But jeez. I’m just bawling listening to her. What an amazing voice. How yah been cooper?

  • I think I moved from NY partially so if Les Mis comes around ago I wouldn’t have to take a bevy of 14 year old girls and/or gay men

Yet her performance knocked me for a loop. After the 20th or so watching I did begin thinking – if they did something with her eyebrows, hair and body

I dont care what was arranged. For her to have that smile and look confident before the performance yet walk away sure she didn’t win – and I don’t think that was planned — oh this could be life changing. Obviously I’m in need of some privacy and/or good friends:) My family’s in town (guess you call it that) and surprisingly they love it and have been on best behavior

    • If we just stooped judging so early.
For me it’s downtown D.C. or Gettysburg which is the draw…if only it were theater…I’d be happier.

  • I listened to Elaine Paige sing this song, then listened to this version. This is less theatrical, more from the heart. What have I/WE learned from this? at 47 your life does not end, for some it might just begin –again, do not judge a book by it’s cover, admit it most book covers do not do justice to the works inside, y beauty is something you feel. There are hundreds of little lessons. Her voice is beautiful. Even a non musical loving man can appreciate that.

My wife is a Les Miz fan, she has listened to this and the story any time it comes up.

  • I stumbled across this on another blog and had to post it too. This was just amazing. I got goosebumps listening to this.
