Sea of Love

You’ll be drowning in it by the end of the week so get your love life boat.

Continuing with the theme of the week, things I love, in honor of the silliest consumer holiday of the year,

I love that Obama explained his plan slowly and deliberately for all pundits who kept saying “he needs to explain it slowly and concisely to the American People, because the American people do not understand, and unless it is explained slowly and premeditatively they won’t understand”. Now they can sit around and complain that he explained it too slowly and deliberately to the American people, which is only slightly better than listening to them talk about anything else.

I loved Radiohead last night at the Grammy’s. I loved that Al Green subbed in last night. I didn’t love much else, it pretty much sucked as usual. I never liked Robert Plant, and Coldplay turns me off physically and musically, and could they have gotten any further up Paul McCartney’s ass? I don’t think so.

I love that someone is writing about something significant.
Dear Obama Administration

I love Catpower’s version of “Sea of Love”.

peace

  • Radiohead was robbed.

Chris Brown is in some shit, I’ll wait for the fog to clear, but his choice of lawyer doesn’t make me thinks he’s innocent.

    • I’m not even going there until it is all sorted out. They will most likely blame her, because “she is a strong woman”.

  • I did not watch the grammys. I did listen to the President. I’m not convinced about the stimulus but I had the same impression that he was talking to the press corps like stupid children and probably gave them too much credit.

  • So, robbed I posted their video it was a pretty good show, Radiohead not the Grammy’s. It was on at the bar. I had no choice but to watch it.

Saw some of the prez, just pass the damn bill and get it over with let the games begin. I think they need to double output to get us going. Except here. They’ve had the best winter ever, but maybe that’s because people can’t afford to go abroad any more.

  • I have no idea if the stimulus package will work. But I’m of the mind that it definitely deserves a chance, because clearly whatever they were doing the past eight years wasn’t working.

  • “it pretty much sucked as usual”

Glad I didn’t watch as usual.

I usually watch at least a performance of two; but I succesful avoided the whole thing this time.

    • You missed, not much. Luckily for us the good and the bad is posted online within second so there isn’t much need to torture ourselves.

  • Radiohead was the only reason I watched the Grammy’s. Thom & Jonny did NOT disappoint.

  • All this love is going to kill me. You must be busy this week.

No, they couldn’t have gotten any further up his ass without causing irreparable damage.

  • I loved his speech. I love a president who uses the word “bellicose” properly. He stammered and maybe over explained but.…I am very scared that he won’t be given time. As he said often but not too much he inherited this mess. Don’t people get that? actually he couldn’t say that enough

As to your link, I’m linking to that and hoping that the government is trying to prove a point.

    • Of course they won’t give him time, the pile of shit id finally toppling over, bad for us because it will cause him to do some things I am sure to be displeased about.

  • Count me among the Obama voters who will not blindly support this so-called economic stimulus plan. Does it spend money? Absolutely. Will it provide the appropriate funding to the places and in the areas where it is needed? Nope.

Count me among those who are very disappointed in the amount of cheap political rhetoric coming from the lips of our new president.

I’m loving substantive change at the moment, but I continue to see too little of it from the politicians in Washington, D.C.

    • I’m going to wait and see. I’m not an expert and no one I’ve heard commenting on it seems to know what to, so as bad as it is I’m kind of lost on this one.

  • I am always disappointed in Award Shows but the Grammy’s is slightly less self serving in that they at least try to provide real entertainment. Paul McCartney’s face gets tighter and tighter every time I see him.

I’m on a hold pattern regarding the stimulus plan.

    • The Grammy’s is the only one I watch. It gets worse every year but there are always couple of good performances.
