Your Blog is Fabulous

February 7th, 2009 by cooper

As the Obama’s head to Camp David I started thinking.…. with the weather so nice it might be a perfect time to go for a hike in the Catoctin Mountains. :)

I have received an award from the lovely Shea of Hey Shae. So, here is the story. I had a page full of awards and award memes which I deleted a few months ago. Oh yeah, I was a rocking girl blogger times fifteen, a thinker, a writer and so on. It seems reasonable to start fresh every year, one can never rest of their laurels now can one? I mean you could easily rock one year and totally suck the next, right? So I start fresh with the Your Blog is Fabulous Award/Meme, thank you Shea.

fabulous-award

Here are the rules: I’m supposed to pass this on to five other people with fabulous blogs, after I list five addictions. Knowing that no one here abhors enjoys memes quite as much as I do, that is a difficult task. Raising the ire of those who read you is a scary thing.

My Addictions as of February 2009, so stated because this could change over time.

1. Coffee
2. Sushi
3. Brushing my teeth twice daily with my Sonic Care Toothbrush,.
4. Shopping at Annie Creamcheese, (a Vintage Clothing Store not a bagel shop).
5. War and Peace, I think I’ve read it more times than anyone throughout history.

I am passing, with some hesitation, this award to these fabulous bloggers. Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful, hate me because I meme you. Should they choose to follow the rules and carry on, so much the better.

Sterling from Chips and Quips, because even though he is a bit techie he gives good link, and when he writes on non techie issues it is always splendid.

Pia, for Courting Destiny, for obvious reasons, and because I think it will be fun to see how she incorporates a yellow award into a pink blog.

Wombat because he has recently made his blog open source, and possibly this will encourage him to actually start writing in it again. ;)

A Very Political Women, a blog I’ve recently started to read from the 20 somethings., check it out.

The first blog I discovered and started to read routinely due to 20 something bloggers, a blog of a writer, and recently minted grad student, The Almost Right Word

peace

There’s something to be said for starting over, and the blog is fabulous, but ya know that. I think you were joking about the hike but if the SS gets you they won’t care that your blog is fabulous. ;)

“Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful, hate me because I meme you.”

    That is classic.

  5. I blogged tonight, for the first time in a year. There will be no awards for me. I’m going to get a avatar though, that is my goal for this year. You should be swimming in them.

Can’t see you in that yellow dress, but the shades are totally you.

You deserve it, Cooper. Your blog is a gem in a proper setting.

I thank you much but my blog has been obsessed with selling real estate, money, and buying real estate. Oh and then there was Obama. My uncle reads my blog daily and thinks I was a Hill person. I’m still trying to understand that one. He sent me an impassioned email on why I must support Obama. My family would make such great material…

And I obsess over blogging as people like a cut & paste nothing post over something with substance. So I might focus on a house blog that hasn’t been put together yet over Courting

Make sure you stay on your side of the border when hiking. I was on the horse trails south of Gettysburg yesterday but it was tough going due to all the mud that comes when snow/ice decide to melt all in one day. Today, I’m heading more towards Perry County and the bullhead north of Newville. Rock never gets muddy.

Too bad you fell off that anti-meme bandwagon. giggle

Oh my gosh, it took me forever to figure out where the comments were.

I’ve been trying to change my theme as well this year. The other night I thought I would give it a shot and I ended up screwing everything up. It took me about three hours to get it back to halfway normal. I like how only your middle section moves when you scroll. Very neat.

Yeah, I have to figure out how to make it a different color I haven’t really had time to look at the theme. I change and I change, one day I will find the prefect fit.
