Dear President Obama:
Give Us the Internet
This is more significant than you might think at first pass.
The latest Carnival Against Sexual Violence is up at abyss2hope.
A book about water recommended by John:
I will be adding be a new category on the blog-roll for twenty-something bloggers. It is meant to incorporate some of the bloggers I am starting to read from20 Something Bloggers . I’m aware that some of you are twenty something and already on here under Mad Rabbits. You will remain A Mad Rabbit unless you request a transfer. For those of you no longer twenty-something who feel like you are twenty-something, you may have the option to switch to a category titled But I Feel Like I’m Twenty-Something.
I would be remiss not to offer as well a never wanna be twenty again category. This is a multipurpose category for cynics (formerly skeptics) to give the finger to 20 somethings, for those who are tired of being a Mad Rabbits, or for those who want to confuse the classifiers and instigate an increasing level of bureaucracy on this blog.

It makes me sad to realize I’m not a Twenty-Something anymore. I suppose it says something about me that I kind of long for those days.
Actually, if I were being brutally honest, I would have to say I wish I could forego my twenties altogether and go back to being a teenager. I guess you could place me in the camp of being one of those people who would want another chance to do it right, knowing what I know. I hear about people like Marion and how she has all this great advice flowing from her friends and family (including me). It makes me think how well I could have done if I had somebody like me now giving me the cliff notes version of how to handle myself.

In the future perhaps there will be a do-over box.
But really you wouldn’t be you if that were the case.
I’m sure formerly skeptical cynics would be honored. Speaking of, I rebooted Prattler.

I just got home from a 8 am class and have to go to work for a couple of hours. I will check it out – as I do all your stuff – when I can sit with a cuppa something and ponder.
I am not going to peak either. It is about time though.
I am all about the increased level of bureaucracy. And I’m quite fond of the Mad Rabbit title.
Did you change your layout again?! ;)

I am trying to find myself.
Count me among those who are skeptical about unsupervised internet access at home. I know I’ll get hammered but short and cutesy youtube blurbs simply do not address the myriad of issues associated with home internet use – not the least of which is, who is going to pay for all the computers and connection costs? Who is going to supervise the kids? And who is going to train the parents in using the technology?

There is significantly more to it than that of course kitty. As the internet becomes an integral part of our culture it also becomes an integral part of our education resources.
As this happens the information available to those without the internet continues to shrink, and considering the slow, but pretty assured, decline of print journalism for starters), the increasing access to volumes of free literature on the internet, the thousands of resources available online those with access most assuredly will have a head ups. A significant one as a matter of fact. We aren’t of course just talking about children here.
Thanks for sharing the vid … it’s a cause that I also think needs much more publicity. The only real obstacle to free WiFi is the cable cos that want to maintain their tight grip on the access. Chicago was supposed to set up free WiFi, but it got shot down — allegedly because of money/technical issues, probably because of lobbying. I’m very happy with my position in the blog roll :).

It’s always nice to have one satisifed customer. ;
Yea, the issue isn’t really about give my kids the internet at all, it is really much broader than that.
In this case people without are definitely at a disadvantage at many levels.
I’m satisfied with my mad rabbit categorization. What else would I be?

Nothing currently on the list woudl do for you my friend.
Information is not evenly acquired by every member of society because some of the most important things, in this case the internet, are not available to people less well off. Even taking into account the education of the parents, the basic IQ of the individual and so on, these kind or programs are important.
Being a mad rabbit is an honor.
jacob’s last blog post..Some People
That is the point really.
I’m glad to honor you, but think you should get up off of than lounge chair.
It really depends on the kid. Many don’t want much revealed about their lives. It’s a subject worthy of 200 dissertations, no more
you leaped into the 20something category and had me laughing. That’s part of what makes you a blogging great
I loved being in my 20′s, and envy all the firsts you still have. That said I like my age. It suits me and I would be very happy if I could stay it but alas…
We should all be happy with the suit we have. It’s the blog which need to be fixed. ;)
I’m just happy to be anywhere. Mad or 20.
casey’s last blog post..
As you should be.
I’m neither mad nor 20. Well maybe a little mad but that’s only because 8 years of George Bush will do that to a person.

Deadpool is a worthwhile read.
A mad rabbit I am and a mad rabbit I’ll stay, until I want to “confuse the classifiers and instigate an increasing level of bureaucracy on this blog”.
I like that sentence.

Yes, please provide more internet so we can have more people arguing in forums about mindless repetitive nonsense.
