This post explores the perfect ten dollar gift. This ten dollar gift works for those with little expendable income, or for those who don’t know what to buy the friend who has everything.
Here lies the prefect option.
For $10 you can give a net and save a life
Saving a life in the name of someone you love may be a better idea than that ugly itchy sweater, that wool hat, or that god awful Kate Spade purse. It also makes a good holiday project for kids, family’s, school or church. It is inexpensive and the payback is in knowing you helped save a life.
For ten bucks you can’t get a better gift. Believe me.
The program developed through UNF — an advocate for the UN and a platform for connecting people, ideas and resources to help the United Nations solve global problems, a public charity created in 1998 with entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner’s historic $1 billion gift to support UN causes and activities — partners with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in a campaign to prevent the deaths from malaria still so common in Africa, specifically in refugee camps.

I’ve actually been donating to this since I read about it in Sports Illustrated a few years back. I don’t donate to much, but ten dollars is not a lot to ask for.

I’m with Casey, considering my budget this will work.
Can’t go wrong with this or anything like it.
That people still die from Malaria is appalling.
This is great for those who have a limit on their budget but would also like to give =)
