Sleeping All Day Is Not An Option – Get Out To Vote

Just a Reminder.

Vote.

We must act against:
Voter intimidation and voter suppression
Broken voting machinery
Unreasonable barriers to ballot access and closed debates
Media announcements of “results” before the votes are cast and counted
Corrupt and partisan election officials
Suppressed and aborted recounts

To Help prevent Voter suppression.

If you can vote early do so.
Absentee and Early Voting Information

This section of Project Vote Smart you can click on your state, and in the right column find the link to your voter registration information and local election offices.

Only use provisional ballots if you must.

If you are free check your candidate campaign web site, get involved in driving others to the polls.

If you have some free time be sure to bring your video camera to the polls, you will have to stand outside set parameters; if you are in key states it might be worth your while to document any potential voter suppression.

Expect the scary robo calls and disregard them.

Bring identification to the polling place and check ahead of time to clarify the identification issues and procedures in your state.

15 Thoughts on “Sleeping All Day Is Not An Option – Get Out To Vote

  1. You were thinking of me when you wrote the sleeping all day line right? I don’t do that any more.I have to pay rent.

I’ll post it. With all our ten readers it will make quite a splash.

  2. Will Rock out on Monday!!!

I’m using my scanner skills. Last post explains.

    Anywho, have a day!!!

    (Good weekend.)

  3. No problem with voting here. No lines since there are so many absentee ballots. Plus — I scored this year. Republican hunkster is voting for Obama, both older sons, and even my mother who has only voted ONCE in the last 51 years. AND I sent that video to people…hilarious.

  4. I am so hoping tomorrow is Nov. 5.

I am so very tired of calling total strangers and reminding them to vote on Nov. 4.

Have I mentioned lately how much phone banking sucks?

  5. thx Mom* I hate to admit it but I actually Slept all day today + all day yesterday* I just can’t Party anymore*

the Writing is on the Wall*

I got 5 Proposals out – 3 to Paris + 1 to Venice Italy + 1 to England + felt I owed myself a few Beers @ Spanky’s w/ gorgeous Frankie stellar Nippz + then ran into Trubble at the Cadillac Hotel + the rest is History*

Fun at the Time but I paid for it* sigh……. ;)) Peace*

  6. That video is pretty funny, can’t used it in a free word press blog. I’ll direct them here or to your link.

I take the links and post them in the morning. My gf has been doing the “going to Virginia thing”, she’s off this term and hasn’t done a thing but volunteer.

  8. I did get a call last week to vote early for Obama, in which the person hung up before I could really respond.

The caller sounded like somebody from the ghetto & barely audible.

I’m definitely voting Obama, but I’m not going to burn 200 miles gas going & coming out of town & take off of work to do so. Makes no sense. That would be idiotic.

I suspect that the caller out of New Orleans wasn’t even really an Obama supporter, but I don’t have any proof.
