Tote My Notes

The ideas which float by right before sleep never come back, I so wish they would. This blog would be much better if they did. Like you I have flecks of brilliance before losing consciousness, and like you I don’t keep a pen and pencil by my bed to record those things. So here I sit, full of unrecorded brilliance.

Lieberman on Obama “an Eloquent and Gifted Young Man”

I heard the Ron Paul Rally was the place to be.

Hey what’s wrong with Alaskan independence anyway? It might be a good thing, god knows how many other roads to nowhere giving us nothing we might be surreptitiously financing. Hard to keep an eye on that place with it being so far away, and so close to Russia and all.

Am I wrong here or is Helen Mirren’s face getting younger with every film award she wins?

I love that women.

Good coverage of RNC The Uptake

Again Fear and Loathing are now the RNC. Nice photography and I expect more of the same.

Corporate Baby Sitter took her family to see democracy in action in Minneapolis posts about it, with some good photos as well.

I promise

  1. Can’t you just write on your palm?

  2. The best writing always happens just before sleep. I keep thinking I should have a va tape recorder ne_t to my bed, but uh the white noise NY gives off

  3. I honestly cannot get over that Fear and Loathing site. It is too good. I constantly “wow” out loud when I look at it.

  4. I’ve always found though, that while the most brilliant ideas happen just before sleep, if you actually do write them down, they don’t seem so brilliant read the next morning. Perhaps it is better to live with the memory of brilliance then the reality.

  5. We are all vessels of unrecorded brilliance.
    Mine usually happens while driving.
Like said though, when written down that brilliance takes much rearranging to even make sense out of it.

No you’re not wrong – on Helen’s face.

  6. Thanks for the mention. I tweeted those Denver photos out to some RNC folks — looks like they had their share of riot gear. Peace.

  7. The photo convention site is great. How cool that someone takes their kids to see democracy in action.

I’ve read too on the energy at the Ron Paul rally being greater than the total energy at the RNC so far. I would bet that will change tonight, or at least it will be made to look that way.

  8. Buy or use a tape recorder. You talk faster than you type or write. (Advice I should take myself.)

Didn’t watch, I had a ball team to pull in. Latest post about it.

Liked this joke on Kimmel: “Now with Palin having a newborn, going to be a grandma, and John McCain as her boss, she’ll have 3 diapers to change on a regular basis.”

She might be swell as a gov of Alaska, but really, do you want this lady a heartbeat from being your C-I-C?

The Republicans must have decided, “we’re going to get our ass kicked, so we need a sacrifical lamb that won’t be too upset if they don’t ever make history again?”

Because there is no way that this lady should be considered capable enough. But then again, given the knocks on Barack, a fresh face is not absurd.

Nah, this woman is a joke to prop up.

What happen to Kay Bailey Hutchison, Republicans?
She’s more qualified – but she probably told McCain to get lost.

    • I heard some people from somewhere say she (Kay BH) was a little “concerned” with this choice and not a happy camper. Off the record of course.

  9. amazing site…fear and loathing…
