Dinner Notes
Lunch notes.
Almost dinner notes actually. I’m waiting to attend a meeting, so here I sit.
HT / Kevin . Copy and pasted really. Lavena Johnson awareness still picking up, via google email newsand blog alerts, as well as technorati.

A NYT article calls the Anthrax evidence against Dr Irvins mostly circumstantial.

People are buying McCains ads, at least according to polls. As we fall further into the unfathomable chasm of intellectual, technological and moral decline, I’m sharping my rendition of Who’s Sorry Now.
Which version do you prefer?
I personally think people are just tired of taking polls.

China is initiating another degrading human rights violation. At least as far as I’m concerned.
The XY Games, on testing women to make sure they are really women.
An imperfect test to make sure the women competing are really women.
I say lets test the men to make sure they are manly enough, certainly there is a level of masculinity which must be reached before a man is considered male enough for the Olympics. They do not ban transsexuals from the Olympics as long as a gender is specified. Why is it women are always the ones to be humiliated. In the case where there is still a good chance the women will be humiliated for no reason, it is plain wrong

I’m not familiar with whatever this new thing the Chinese are doing but as a general precept, there have been too many occasions when when men masquerading as women have taken medals (and the honor and tangibles that go with them) earned by real women.
What is a real woman? In a purely biological sense, that can be a difficult question. But when it comes to high-level athletic competition, it’s certainly not someone who has added so much testosterone to her system as to give her an unfair advantage over women who have not done so. Man or woman, an athlete who has manly musculature has a distinct and unfair advantage over a man or woman who has a womanly musculature. That probably makes no sense to a non-athlete, but trust me when I state that female competitors know the difference. To female athletes, it is a very important issue and distinction.
As for McNasty’s recent political ads, all I can do is shake my head. It was to be expected once it became clear that the very same people who swiftboated McNasty in the past had joined his campaign staff. It is what they are known for: nasty and misleading political games.
I hope reality bites them in the ass. Hard.
It’s be a shame to end up ruining someones life over it. I can see the authors point.
Politics: People are just sick of it all right now. Swiftboat is right. Scarily enough people may be stupid enough this time around too. I hope not but I have no confidence in this country any longer.
I just figured out how to get properties and copy and paste youR sidebar links on LaVena Johnson on my blog. I hope you don’t m ind I’m copying and pasting it. It looks like the picture is photobucket’s so it won’t be using you bandwidth. I took the flag too.
My name links to an interesting video presentation by David Ickes. Listen to it - long, but sorta insightful.
Signed petition.
Have a good evening.
Haven’t posted in awhile. I finally put up something about LaVena Johnson.
That whole women testing thing, what do you expect in China? There big venue to show the world how free they are, to let us know “we’re gonna get you” and to take a good women down just because she’s a man.
Who cares who wins the stupid things they are nothing more than a showcase for people who have been able to make a lot of money from their dream .
Few athletes from third world countries can compete with people who have the best of everything - it’s a joke. Don’t care who wins but hope it’s whoever isn’t supposed to.
Not sure if you’ve seen this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7545398.stm
It’s regarding the Anthrax Scientist, etc. etc. I was just so intrigued by the fact that the evidence was found to be circumstantial. I began to think, “Damn. That poor man.” And now I read this article from the BBC that states he was the only one behind the attacks.
It is an interesting world in which we live.
I cannot express how much I appreciate your blog. There are so many bloggers who NEVER mention politics or the news. How can we be so blind?
