This Week – Motown
My choice, oh yeah baby don’t leave me this way.
I make no excuses I love this song. I’ve been without air conditioning for almost two days. I’m hot.
The msgrapevine and the mrs marv have the linky things.

Ha! You weren’t even born when Motown came around. And I was in high school.
Where did you find the clip though? The intro is in German!
Yea maybe not when motwon reocrds started putting out the great stuff from the sixties but I’ve always been a fan of Motown’s Recording artists.
Classic! I love this song. This could have been on the break up list too. :-)
It defineity would have worked or break-up.
You know that song is THE S***! No excuses needed. Happy OSF.
It is the shit for sure.
No need for apology. I like your taste in music. I suppose all I have to leave the next generation is my own childhood.
Well you have your blog……By the way, my taste is excellent in that category as well.
This song takes me back to Moulin Rouge. And I respect any woman who can rock a turban. Thanks for the Friday pick-me-up!
Your welcome. I enjoy the Friday music challenge.
Motown Records is da bomb.
Nothing wrong with a little heat. Musically or otherwise.
Nothing wrong with it unless the temperature is going up to 97 .
I finally did this. Though am probably the first person to screw up Mr. Linky–gawd I wish the name would be changed–and picked a very pedesterian though weather appropriate song that I love, love. love
Love this one too and hope you get AC soon :)
I came home around noonish to wait for the ac man. He has yet to arrive, but he called – again – and should be here soon.
I usually just right tag someone with all the links and paste the names in.
Now “Don’t Leave Me This Way” was the anthem back in the day! That was a great choice. Did she have any other hits? Happy OSF!
I don’t know if she did or not. She has many full c’s out a lot of dance and R and B.
Happy OSF!! Classic, classic, classic! I remember this song from my childhood! Nice pick!
I love it too. I think I’m a throwback.
I always loved those bass lines…
I know that I am listening to 70′s when I hear that, “bumb-ditty-bump-bump-wha-wha” or some such sound.
This song makes me want to dance…heat or no…
Happy OSF!
Lately I’m rather stuck on the songs that make me want to get up and move.
Great pick. I am discovering so many osfers I didn’t know played this morning.
I awoke with Anthrax Suicide on my mind will use your recent piece as reference.
Also great work on pursuing justice for Ms. LaVena Johnson. I expect my Care2 petition to close after the weekend, with 3000 signatures.
I was surprised that one who has had my ear this week is on Motown.
Traveling down the road of lives.
Wishing you and yours health, balance and joy.

Modern Musings
IF you haven’t heard Harold Melvin and the BlueNotes’ version – well, you should. I still have the LP!
