I’m sitting here in what is more like a desert than a study/den, with the air conditioning not working due to something called a broken capacitor. At least that is what a friend told me as he started the blade of the unit with a large long metal stick, then gave me the name of someone to come fix it in the morning. Until then I die. Even with the blade kicked on it doesn’t see to be pushing out cold air. I’ve been out walking the streets several times already, sadly the bars are closing.

It’s disappointing, because even though I despise this little old flip flopping, cunt calling man, I had hoped for better from him.
So, if we judge of man’s wisdom by his hope — as per Emerson — I am by my hopeful nature, wise. If we judge a man’s wisdom by his ability to temper hope with what can reasonably be expected in any given circumstance, in this case specifically on what we already know about McCain, my hope was ill founded.
