I’m Working My Way Back To You on Old School Friday

Yeah, Yeah, Friday. No politics or societal woes.

This week it’s Make-Up songs.

The best make-up songs beside “Baby One More Time” which isn’t Old School. Admit it you like that song….

I think Marvin Gay wins the category as a whole, but today at wonderland or not it’s The Spinners

“Working My Way Back to You Babe”.

My first year back here the middle school I attended had a “dance” — my first “dance. I think the chaperone’s were in charge of the music. Had that not been the case I might never have heard this song.

Enjoy. It’s good for a round of aerobics too.

  • I’m not saying OMG I love that song again.

    Love that song.

  • Glad you brought this back.

  • Wicked — back in high school, the band I was in did that song — or at least made an attempt.
Make up song? How about “Wonderful Tonight” by Clapton — true story — he and Pattie were running late for a party and Pattie was taking her time, they had a row and Eric stomped downstairs, picked up his guitar and wrote the song — his apology to her.
If anyone out there would like the chords to the song (Working My Way Back to You Babe) — just give me a shout.
