Please Don’t Drink and Drive, or get in a car with someone who does. Call a friend, have a designated driver, or call your parents. Try your older sibling first, then maybe and aunt or even a friend of your family, but if that doesn’t work out please call your parents.
Your life is just beginning.
Peace
The list of participants is below the fold because I have time to code them pretty.

Excellent choices! I am so excited to have you join the Friday party…
Twas fun.
Old school ends at 1999? I promise not to drive drunk this weekend.
Even for me it’s 1995. ;)
I was wondering about that 1999 too. If old school is before 1999 I’m ancient.
Good theme within a theme, with the all the graduations this weekend, even though that video is pretty depressing.
Two of the best love songs - took me back to my pre-high school days - yes, I,m an old fart.
Another teenage love song by Bob Dylan is the song, “Ballad in Plain D”. Here’s a taste:
I once loved a girl, her skin it was bronze
With the innocence of a lamb, she was gentle as a fawn
I courted her proudly but now she is gone
Gone as the season she’s taken.
In a young summer’s youth, I stole her away
From her mother and sister, though close did they stay
Each one of them suffering from the failures of their day
With strings of guilt they tried hard to guide us
(skipping to the end)
The wind knocks my window, the room it is wet
The words to say I’m sorry, I haven’t found yet
I think of her often and hope whomever she’s met
Will be truly aware of how precious she is
Ah, my friends from the prison, the ask unto me
“How good, how good does it feel to be free?”
And I answer them most mysteriously
“Are birds free from the chains of the skyway?”
Knowing that this has nothing to do with driving while intoxicated and the deaths that are caused by those who do, I truly hope no one has to suffer the tragedy of losing someone in that fashion. I have, and it’s horrific.
It only had to be sad, I just went the dead teen way due to the time of year.
I love anything Dylan writes, he was always in a way with his loves and losses.
Good theme, but that video looks like something they show in drivers education. OH, that was the point.
I always thought “The One I Love” was a sad love song.

I never saw a vid like that in drivers education, though I did see a friend’s, G’s, car after he totaled it, the summer before Senior year of high school - though he was merely picking up his cell phone not drunk when he rammed into a huge old Ford truck. That was really enough for me.
Climax Blues Band has the absolute best love song. If youse disagrees, I’m gonna invoke Starland Vocal Band. …
Well what was it, and who gave such a name to a band?
There are too many.
I think it’s interesting, when people are sad in love they like to listen to really gut wrenching sad love songs.
I’m excited to be noted here. I was almost that top picture.
Teen Angel was my favorite song when I was eleven. I have a CD of teenage death songs–had the original record. It was the only thing I requested for elementary school graduation
I think we’re never too old to wallow in teenage misery and i guess the ultimate misery is death. That said I never listen to the CD, except for Leader of the Pack but like knowing I have it
Hey,
Good choices and welcome to the party! Looking forward to more of your entries!
Thanks, it was quite a good time. I hope to participate again soon.
