A Rolling Stone - It Ain’t Me Babe

I know this is a bit of a rolling stone, or a replicating virus if you will. A virulent strain I know, but I want to be part of this virus.

“You’re getting a little thin up there.” McCain’s face reddened, and he responded, “At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.” McCain’s excuse was that it had been a long day.

Says The Raw Story

“If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.”

I’ve been lucky enough to have known many men with quality leadership styles in my life. I’ve known those with lesser styles as well. You know, those guys who may have done something worthy, maybe even something grand once, but whose character and motives have periodically been questionable. These guys prone to bursts of anger, calling their girlfriends, and others, whores when pissed off, because name calling is such a logical way to handle stress, and solve problems. Little provocation is necessary to illicit an angry outburst, just no sleep and a shitty day will do it. The tantrum is always followed by a brief dismissal of significance, a quick apology and an excuse - there is always an excuse. They were tired, had a bad day, long day, weren’t thinking. They have bursts of anger for which there is never a dearth of things to take the blame.

My guess is, reason rarely triumphs in time of crisis when speaking of this type of individual.

That which you perceive as a spoon is a poor copy of the ideal spoon

Oops – I didn’t mean to bomb that whore Iran, I’d had a bitch of a day, no sleep, and those fuckers woke me up at 3 AM.

It ain’t me babe
No, No, No
It ain’t me babe
It ain’t me you’re looking for

I’ve heard similar stories about HRC from people who’ve had the opportunity (not their choice of word I am sure) to work for her. Not “with” her but “for” her. It’s one of the reasons my choice for the PA primary is Barack Obama.

People have bad days all the time - although few have had a bad day of the magnitude that Victoria Lindsay had on that day her fellow cheerleaders decided to give her a beating or during the 5+ years McCain was a POW - but the one “bad day” I am looking forward to are the days following 1-20-09.

That’s when dickless cheney is going to have a really, really bad day. Wonder if Pat Leahy will be around to tell dickless to fuck off. …

pardoning my francais, of course.

I understand the need to be part of the replication process. I can’t stomach the man myself.

I’m sure Hilary has called Bill a few nasty names, maybe even whore, and I bet the words spewing out of her these last few weeks, toward staff and the like are pretty strong.

You always make me smile.

I was going to do a post on the economic stimulus bill but am so not in the mood. It specifically excludes coops from the jumbo mortage loan part

What’s the main form of non rental housing in Manhattan and much of the city? Who needs jumbo loans more?

HRC has done nothing for the people of the city–both she and Schumer are on the right committees to help

And of course the congestion bill that died is a city/state issue not a fed.

They could have said something, but….

That is the most derogatory word possible when directed towards a woman. How dare he? I have female friends who will disown a man, hold a lifelong grudge just for hearing him use that word. McCain obviously has some deeper issues.

McCain himself talks about the many challenges facing the next US President, and it’s scary on so many levels to think of him as the one to “lead” us through those. Not just the stories like this one of his fragile temper and insensitivity, but his harsh ideology and reactionary policy. We’ve already had 8 years of stubborn, never-admit-a-mistake, rule by fiat, bail out the wealthy and let God sort out the rest “leadership.” It’s time for a new approach.

I’m tired of McCain. But I’m starting to suspect that he has been nominated, not because he’s the best Republican for the job, but because he didn’t get nominated the last 2 times he ran, and they want to do something nice for him before he is too old to play politics.

I’m tired of Clinton. Every week or so, something new comes out about her, her advisors, her little “stories”, or how she is alienating people. I’ve said it many times before, and I’ll say it again: She has too many enemies in Congress to get anything done if she’s POTUS. Both sides of the aisle would rush for the chance to block her.

I’m tired of the politics. Obama is the best choice we have, and is probably the best choice we’ve had in the last 50 years (other than Bobby Kennedy). I’d like this all to be over, so we can start to heal the rifts in the country and in the world.

It only goes to show that these political “animals” are really not a whole lot different from your average person…in fact, often, a whole lot worse.

Calling your wife that (and she stayed!) begs to question her motives too. I mean, would all you ladies, after making an innocent and actually fun comment (you are thinning up there) put up with that response…more to the story than just “that comment.” (What is their relationship been like in its entirety? What triggers that response? Is he always that keyed up to denegrate someone? Just how many hot buttons does he have? Asshole anyone, anyone?)

Unlike all of you, I have made those types of comments - public as it gets - on an email to like 20 people about one.

Didn’t use the C word - but I did use this turn of phrase: “The gall and audacity of a self-righteous, self-centered, poor-excuse-for-a-baby-maker bitch…” And I was only getting warmed up. (And I paid for it in the end. Comes around, goes around.)

Leaving that aside, I’ve also hear my fair share of negative comments growing up. Called all sorts of names, disparaging nicknames, putdowns, etc. That was the world in which I had to survive - as a transplanted Southerner to Indiana - and it didn’t always go away. (And I have my harsh feelings toward my relatives…likewise I am sure.)

Oh sure, we call it “teasing” if it doesn’t seem too bad. A word here or there, doesn’t matter. Then of course, it gets rougher. More callous. Spur of the moment. Just because your there. And only God (or some fly) knows what else gets thrown around “when your not around.”

Going as far as McCain did, within earshot, I can’t imagine he’s much for small talk and has an air of superiority (you’ve probably noticed it) that says, “I’m the master. You the help.”

Some might question what I am like, and I do it too, but it comparison to this joker, I’m a fucking saint - in deed, if not words. (Not to cast stones or words around too lightly…you know.)

Oh, Cooper, have a good vacation. Enjoy that fucking sun!!!

(So I curse a bit. Me heathen. Need religion. Praise Jesus! Sorry. No dice but Andrew Dice would like this response.) OH! (I’ll quit.)

Vicky. Larry. Bill. The whole stack of candidates exhibiting their diplomas from the Richard B. Cheney School of Presidential Elocution.

And all Howard Dean did was scream.

That’s it. I’ve had it. I’m voting for Winslow.

I so wish that I was shocked. Alas, I am not.

Now if he were found at church every Sunday standing before the altar in prayer, that would shock the s**t out of me!!

I thought of McCain as a cute old man until I read that.

John calls ‘em as he sees ‘em, however he could’ve used a different adjective. Perhaps, like Hillary, he misspoke and meant to say “can’t” as in - Hillary can’t keep her stories straight (nor can Billy Boy when he’s trying to defend her), she can’t keep from lying, she can’t lead this country, she can’t be elected - Oh, God, please make that so.
sauerkraut - sounds like fun - why don’t you get the ball rolling!
