The Beat the Bitch policy of Saudi Arabia

November 15th, 2007 by cooper

They’d never use the term Bitch in Saudi Arabia, they’re much too civilized for that.

I just saw this link at feministing dot com, and wanted to share.

This is the “Beat the Bitch” policy of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia, a country where they beat women for getting raped, and beat them more should they try to plea their case to the media, or anyone else for that matter. If this display of barbarism doesn’t produce a sort of nauseated dysphoria you are simply not human.

Mr. Bush, these are your “friends”, how can you look these assholes in the face, never mind do business with them? “Good Christian” that you are and all and all this should make you sick. Right to life doesn’t mean right to life without unjustified beatings?

I think we should organize and covertly ship stun guns to women around the world.

On second thought, maybe real guns.

I realize we are not out of the woods here. I get more hits from searches for “fun with rape” and “rape fantasy” than for most other subjects. Oh, I know they don’t beat us here, they just blame us or find joy in humiliating us. It is with sadness, yet certainty, I know “Beat the Bitch” will elicit many searches. To know what people are looking for produces an eternal melancholy.

I have to go to the art center for an emergency board meeting.

Do art centers really have emergency board meetings?

I will hovercraft around your blogs later, haven’t had much time this week.

peace

“The secret to success is sincerity. Once you can fake that, you’ve got it made.” Goes double for “government” and “business”, where “success” means making that Lower Slobbovian deviant sitting on the other side of the table feel like you’re his best buddy, ’cause he’s got the oil you need, and you’ve got the guns he needs. If that weren’t the case, how would We the People dare show our faces? Anywhere?

And yes. Arts centers have emergency meetings. The Round Top Center for the Arts in Maine had several of them. Just before they folded (a new group has arisen). Because they weren’t attracting the “rape fantasy” market.

First thing, let’s send Laura Bush or the twinkies over to Saudi Arabia and have them investigate to develop first-hand knowledge. Maybe we could have Laura drive?

I am curious as to this “they” you refer to in your paragraph 7. Who are these “they” people who lay the blame?

Various sources claim that as few as 30 lashes in a session can result in the death of the one being whipped (the woman in your article was sentenced to 200). Depends of course on the whip / cane being used, and the physicality/mentality of the one doing the whipping.

I got a hit the other night for “Christian sex with NLD“
Was curious so I looked at the post – the word Christian wasn’t used once. Sex was mentioned in passing
I stopped giving my posts interesting names, usually to stem the stupid searches

Everybody has emergency meetings. It’s a big way of gauging ones importance

    Send me a gun please

I like the pissed of you.
I sometimes go for days without thinking of what happens outside my little circle of life. Then, slap.

My emergency meetings are usually three thousand miles away from my home, and not infrequent.

    I’ll catch up tomorrow.

    That’ll teach ‘em.

“Once you become a victim you’re a victim your entire life.”

It’s a great message their government is teaching… really.

    Sarcasm, by the way.

I saw this story too and wasn’t sure if I was going to cry or throw up.
What the fuck is wrong with people??

And you actually get searches for “fun with rape” ?
    God, that makes me sad.

I’m with you…I think all women should be armed, stun guns, real guns…whatever, just something that will take someone down.

… as just with female genital mutilation, the beatings will continue … it’s so depressing … the crazy injustice of it all.

oc: Now you tell me. I also think I’d pass out after two and die after five.

    sk: They — the Saudi’s.

pia: I’m just not an emrgency meeting kind of girl I guess.

joe: yo do that. I wouldn’tmidn the three t housand mile away meetings, but I imagine you get tired of it all.

    Jake: Yikes I hope so.

Vanessa: I know, it was hard to decide what to do. Yea the searches are because of a bunch of post I did some time ago, and yes it lets me really see what people are out there looking for, and it make me really disgusted and sad for women.

    Xine: It is most depressing.

Right wing religious dictators are same everywhere Cooper. that’s why they get along so well with each other. Israel is another great example, where the only ones we can make peace with are the most reactionary regimes such as Suadi Arabia, Jordan and all the others who still have “kings” and “queens”. what can you do. Political analysts say the US of America is likely to change its skin soon after the next elections. I hope they are right. It might help this corner of the planet as well.
