Look What They’ve Done to My Blog Ma.…..

September 18th, 2007 by cooper

Florida policemen put on leave after getting a little taser happy.

Was John Kerry not put on leave as well? My understanding is he just kept on ticking through it all, like that battery bunny? Do you think he knew the kid was tasered? This is unsubstantiated of course I wasn’t there. Do you think he cared? So many questions, so little time.

Pia posted her interview at BC with Jancee Dunn, Rolling Stone writer, author of “But Enough About Me” and former MTV veejay. Go check it out.

As you probably know by now they didn’t release Mychal Bell because the judge and prosecutor did not show up. If this shocks you you’re not as bright as I gave you credit for.

Blogs help drive Jena protest.

What a bunch of blathering media types can’t do, thanks to the almighty dollar, the fed up masses, in this case starting with the Afrosphere, can do.

Speaking of blogs, another one of Melanie’s, the singer in the roller skate video in my last post, songs works well for me here.

I was scrolling through her songs, (seems she appeared at Woodstock, and someone is trying to get her into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame), that and she has another old song which works well with my view of blogs gone wrong, or maybe it’s just my fear of my blog going wrong.

Watching as so many blogs turn into masses of nothing but advertising, many formerly good reads on a personal level taking a sharp turn for the worse due to reading too much Pro Blogger and not enough McClatchy, Beckett, Austin, ( Camus, Dante, Twain, Chekov, Morrison, Austin, Bronte, Dostoyevsky, Hughes, Marquez, Kafka,Tolstoy Baldwin ), you get the picture.

Well, just replace the word “song” with “blog”, and sing along folks

Wombat I expect you to record this.

Great post Cooper. Not the part about me, but thanks :)
Can’t believe that’s Melanie who I had forgot about for earnest reasons

She used to perform with Donovan who my ex thought the sun set over

many blogs are but shadows of their former selves. Other blogs are pure market driven drivel

I have to put blogging behind me for now – won’t nuke the blog, but have to put my needs first

Somebody devised a blogging test. Apparently you’re supposed to use lots of images, lots of links and little content – except on blogging – where you’re supposed to follow a formula for success
Never could stand Frank Sinatra but kind of think of the song “I did it my way.” Or something similar

I except nothing great or good from blogging or this country anymore. That said I except great things from many individuals
One great thing about blogging. It taught me to truly differentiate the individual from the group

Now that i have written another comment longer than the post will come here when I need to post – but will post once a week or so just to keep a presence

I wasn’t surprised, but the eyes of the world are on Jena now.

    Bet that taser hurt.

Song works like crazy for it’s intended purpos

Which came first — the stereotype or the egg? It figures.

And Melanie’s rollerskate song had me rocking in my car when I was a freshman in college in 1902.

Between not being able to find the key to those almost but not quite spanking new roller skates, and what they’ve done to your blog, you must be quite distressed coop.

    Come to Italy. ;)

I avoid the news, just look at it, it sucks.

You’re not seeing things. It is really me.

“everybody wants to be naked and famous”

    I’m just happy being naked.

  6. jacobNo Gravatar says:

I think this will stand the test of time. I’d rewrite the song, but I can put to rhyming sentences together.

I just read David Bowie donated to the Jena 6 defense fund and I’m trying to catch up on the rest.

I’m gonna go check out pia’s bc post.

pia: That is what comments are for. Those two word comments just don’t cut it.
    G: I thought it worked.

KP: I think those are dangerously subversive song.

    The stereotype came first.

Ben.I almost fainted when I saw this comment and I never faint.
    Italy.
    I wish.

Flametree: But being famous and naked at the same time is also good. As long as one is not famous for being naked it’s OK.

jacob: Don’t figure you for much of a songwriter but yea go check out her post.

So, since comments are closed above, I saw this this morning. It was a sad guffaw when I read where the Jena resident accused people of blowing things out of proportion.

Oh, and in the same post, notice, regarding Jacob’s comment, the coverage of Bowie’s donation. That was a happy guffaw.

Did that woman just start singing in French?

I heard that song in a a movie or something once. They can’t do anything to my blog it’s pretty abysmal as it is.

I think Kerry said something, but he did keep on speaking. Why anyone wants to listen to him is the question.

    Jena = USA.
Ask my old girlfriend, who is of Asian descent, about that.

I hate when comments are closed.
