The Full Monty for a $4,000 blog anniversary prize draw – Hot Stuff

It’s about a contest.

I’m becoming a regular old town crier of the blogesphere.

Seriously, David Airey, a graphic designer specializing in david airey, is holding an anniversary prize giveaway. There’s more than $4,000 in free prizes! Find out how to enter by reading the on David’s logo design blog.

Quite simple really, you don’t even have to write anything, just copy and paste what he has posted at his site.

I’m a little selfish at heart. I am going the “full monty” posting as many links to the sponsors as I can in order to maximize my chances of winning.

Who wouldn’t want a, custom WordPress theme design from Nate Whitehill of Nate Whitehill dot Com. ( this one may be a little busy as every blogger out there seems to be going to this site right now) Also included a marketing plan from Dosh Dosh. Not to mention One year’s hosting and blog setup from John Boardley of I Love Typography, along with a Signed copy of Blogging Tips by Lorelle VanFossen from Lorelle on WordPress. This comprises the Gold Award.

The Silver award includes a Logo design from Tara Roskell of Graphic Design Blog, along with a website critique from Randa Clay of Randa Clay Design. We all love critique do we not? It also offers a one hour SEO consultation with Lyndon Antcliff of Cornwall SEO and sixty dollars worth of Amazon bookage from Pro Blogger.

If you don’t win the silver award don’t fret, there is the Bronze award which includes Logo / blog header design from Jonathan-C. Phillips of Smart Wealthy Rich. ( Don’t know if he is smart or wealthy but he is rather cute ). One hour blog optimization consultation with Daniel Scocco of Daily Blog Tips. The Revolution Premium WordPress theme package (personal package) from WordPress designer and consultant Brian Gardner, is also included. ( awesome theme by the way) All this along with a blog review and email interview published on Make It Great! with Phil Gerbyshak.

Not to worry. If you don’t win any of the top three packages you still have a chance at any of the individual prizes including two premium quality books designed and produced by David Hyde of david the designer, a Watercolour print from Ed Roach Watercolours, or a Blog makeover from Charles Jordan of The Queer who makes you taste buds cheer – The Queer Chef.

You could win a 30 day banner run at The Blog Experiment or a 125px by 125px image ad for 30 days on Freelance Folder.

Other prizes include: Full blog review with deep links and images published on Blog-Op with Chris Lodge, a Behringer Podcastudio USB Podcasting Kit, kindly donated by Fraser’s Affiliate Marketing Blog or a $25 via PayPal courtesy of Gayla McCord of Mom Gadget.

Go check it out, there are some prizes I missed so it’s not the fullest monty, but we all know how that goes. This was the most difficult thing I’ve done all of Labor Day weekend.

Go win something; if you don’t want it give it away at your blog, or send it on to me.

Peace

cooper

  • Yo, cooper, you’re heading over the the dark side here. Entering a contest???? So un-cooper like.

Looks good. I might have to check it out tomorrow. There are some decent prizes. I could use any one of them.

The title works well, and is no lie. I like how you manage that.

  • That podcasting set looks pretty droolworthy. I might have to give this thing a look.

    Good luck Coop.

  • That was a lot of work you did there! In my mind you’re already a winner, but I hope that you get the Gold AWARD! :)

  • Thanks for entering! Best of luck in the draw. ;)

  • Okay, I made it through the fourth link before all things bright and shiny distracted me from clicking on the rest. I should probably take a pill for it, huh?

  • Only you could make a blog contest sound like fun.

I might do this later this week. God knows I could use some help. Today, no time to blog just a few visits.

Your monty is always full, and hot.

I mean that in a good way. I want to delete the previous sentence. I just can’t bring myself to do so.

  • I like the sentence Jacob wants to delete

First you town crier, I come in peace and the Wombat will always be your Wombeditor–have evidence

This post is very un-Cooper like.

I have begun to come to terms with blogging. That it’s not about good writing but about great templates–do have one myself, and contests.

It used to be easy for me to “shine.” Isn’t anymore–too many blogs offering too many things

Was reading reviews of blogs last night. Any blog with long posts no matter how good automatically had points taken off

I’m a renegade Cooper and will continue to do things my way–but only at my leisure

You know that this is my favorite place to come and comment :) And probably always will be

  • I realize I sound sour. Truth is I’m not

We do things our way–and I will always continue to

But the more contests there are offering critiques–will tell me to write short posts, to moderate comments and be a good blog host when I would rather come here and bitch

Have heard it all–the great–thank you;) the middling, and the bad–people critique my blog when not asked to–have read that I’m retarded and mentally deficient

Have been told to accept such judgements as that’s how books are judged. They’re not

The question for me now is has my blog become a liablity as I refuse to do things the way people say to do things

Nuking my blog is something I would love to do but can’t as there are some damn good posts–don’t have the time to go through all the posts and delete the ones that aren’t good
oh god I can be so verbose

  • I hope you don’t win critique; I like this place the way it is, it’s what makes you worth reading. I was reading you back in the day of live and dead journal so I might be biased. I could use a pod caster kit, a logo, design and web hosting now that I think of it. When you’re me there is nowhere to go but up.

Might do this when I get home. I’m at the library with my younger sister; she is staying with me for the week while my parents are out of the country. Can’t write a blog at the library.

I looked quickly over some of the Revolution theme
presentations. That is a great theme.

  • John: Yea go win something and send it my way. I’m a bottom feeder I’ll take anything.

EW: Yea it does, thanks wombat.

Jon: I really just want the watercolor. lol

    DavidA: Thanks much.

Kelleypea: Maybe, I’ll go ask Alice. ;)

Jacob: you know my monty? Yes Jacob I know you are always so polite you are probably kicking yourself about now.

Pia: Blogging has changed since I was Alice in Wonderland or Not. I think we have the right to do what we do. The rest doesn’t really concern me but that having been said when I started blogging despite a 4.0 GPA my blog was written haphazardly and often with no spell or grammar check and not attention to the writing. I did rad several blogs along the way that although I may have scoffed at them did help me adjust somewhat in that department. The other stuff I don’t listen to and I’ve found unsolicited reviews as well and find them a little annoying.

Blogs just starting out though could do with critique and information as it is so much bigger now than it was. It will always be fun for me and never a way to make a living so it matters not all that much. I want that watercolor though….lol or the books or ya the gold award or anything for that matter. I don’t think I’ve ever won one of these random drawing kind of things.

Casey: You know, that is a great theme, although I’ve only looked at the original.

  • Verbosity is good, if the verbosity is good. Pia rarely fails to deliver.

I won’t comment on the huge linkage. For some reason, I keep getting a visual of anna nicole in my brain. It’s a guy thing, I suppose. Not to be understood by the distaff side, merely accepted as par for the course.

  • [...] veering off, thanks to cooper’s full monty. Tomorrow, or this week, or within the next ten days I’ll be posting a link to a contest.. If I [...]

  • I saw this and think I’m going to do it. What the heck. I have a couple weeks to post it so I’m not going to rush. It gives me something to post. I might have to start a real fashion blog or something. Don’t look my way when looking for those who look down on you for posting a contest.

  • I’m not against contests. You are way past the dark side anyway.
