The good, the bad and the ugly.

February 20th, 2007 by cooper

The good news and the bad news, for you and for me.

For the next week or so I’m going to lighten it up here in hopes that in a week from now the world will have changed, everything will be peaceful, everyone will be happy, all evil will have disappeared and we can get on with life. Chances are good the situation is not going to change of course and we are back to where we started and I will be back to posting things which are not always that pleasant to read.

The other good — some people actually remember posts I wrote two years ago…

In the meantime.

The bad news: In the words of my (oh so hot for a tech geek) coder man, “your host hosed your site”.

Life goes on eh?

I’m going to play a little; if you happen to have your face sticking out of my blog log sidebar at any given time you may just find yourself exposed.….….……in wonderland or not.

I’m gonna click on a random stalker, go visit their site then come here and tell you good people all about it.

The ugly:

Scratch that part, there just isn’t any ugly around here.

Did I miss something? Are people upset about something you said? I admit, I don’t normally read other people’s comments, so I may have missed something. Anyway, I hope what you want to happen, happens. But I like what you write.

I think “hosed account” means fucked up the whole thing not hosed it down for rotten content. I’m sure someone would have liked to hose it down for content they didn’t agree with at some time or other but I don’t think that is what she meant.

What points do I get for suffering through the dj years?

  3. TwistedNo Gravatar says:

She’s probably talking about me. Though, I was already exposed on here before. Could I be that “special” to get another honorable mention?

Hmm, not sure. But, for the record, I only came to view the site, because I was going to help you in the WP.org forums. You left two help requests there, and no one else had bothered to help you, so, I was going to “try” to give it ago.

Of course, I was logged in to my “MyBlogLog” account in Firefox, and opened your site in Firefox as well. Hence the reason for my face to be on your sidebar. Also, if it’s me you’re referring to as being a “stalker”, believe me, I’m not stalking you.. ;)

I was just going to try and lend a hand in the WP.org forums, but, I don’t think I can though, because I’m not familiar with those types of issues. As for exposing someone, or, anyone as such, you really don’t have to, their sites pretty much tells the world about themselves anyway.. so…

coyote: No the guy who looked at the back end of my site told me that. It has nothing to do with what I write it has to do with other things.

casey: exactly, for a blond you are very smart. You are still blond right casey? Points? If I had a point for every time.….…..

twisted: Don’t flatter yourself I was calling them all stalkers long before you came around and I am just having fun with it.

You wouldn’t need to be so paranoid if you would stop posting things on your site which you know are blatantly wrong.

    Haha, Ok. Wheew!

You wouldn’t need to be so paranoid if you would stop posting things on your site which you know are blatantly wrong.

I know, I guess most was written for controversial entertainment reasons though… Really, I don’t even have much time to write on the VB blog anymore, hence the reason for bringing aboard 3 other writers.

A lot of the time, I don’t even post “new” stuff. I just bump the old junk to the frontpage. And again, which 98% of it, was written up while I was drunk, and pissed off.

Hence the reason for the name “VindictiveBastard”, because a lot of that was just releasing angry feelings, thoughts, self opinions, and such, towards ex-girlfriends, female co-workers, and so forth…

I should have just written a lot of the crazy talk on a blog, on the localhost, or even on paper I guess. But, I didn’t.. so, now it’s publically accessible. Since then, I just figured screw it, and just posted about whatever…in a weird, psychotic way…

I know you don’t like my VB blog, and out of respect for your other commenters, viewers, and even you, I’m not linking my name in here, with the comments I’m leaving. If you could, or wouldn’t mind doing, it’s up to you though. Maybe hide/remove my “face” from you sidebar? ;) :)

Again, it’s up to you though. ;) Again, I’ll try my best to help you in the WP.org forums, though, I might not have the best answer for everything sigh. I hate seeing people go “unanswered” in there… Which of course, has been happening to you lately. :(

Technically, I haven’t even been in there much either sigh… I’ve just so wrapped up in other stuff. Anyway, even if you do write up another article on me, I wouldn’t care. I don’t want another “battle of the words” with you again. Once was enough for me! LOL!

My VB blog is, just what it is… Not everyone is going to love it, or even like it. Everyone can easily just ignore it as well… Again, I’m sorry it upsets you, and I’m sorry for upsetting you before… Like I also said before, I DO like your blog, I DO like your writings. :)

I wish you the best with getting your hosting issues straightened out, and again, I’ll try to help you in the forums too. ;) :) Now, I must get working on a theme, which I started many months ago, and haven’t even touched since then sigh.. later folks! :)

Don’t you hate it when the world and it’s real-life problems intrude on a space where you think you can leave all of that behind. I don’t know what I’d do if my site ever got hosed to the point where I had to blog about it.

I’d probably just die and get it over with.

  7. OK, I’m going straight to mybloglog and donate one of my mug shots. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

  8. DawgNo Gravatar says:

All’s well so far. You seem well maintained.

I think when someone remembers a two-year-old post, it’s ok to call them stalkers.

  9. o ceallaighNo Gravatar says:

To thine own self be true, Laertes … oops, sorry, Cooper. ;)

  10. piaNo Gravatar says:

I only remember the best of the “I’m just a 20.…” will never
let you forget that because you were always so much
    more.

Blogging can be dangerous for people who give a damn

I decided to blog light. Sometimes I can’t help but throw things in
I hope you’re enjoying the day. It’s beautiful

  11. piaNo Gravatar says:

Meant to say you’re being especially random today, and
I think hosed down is similar to what happened to my blog

  12. jacobNo Gravatar says:

I’m not a blog logger, maybe I should be.

I indicated below I started reading you after your “things I learned in college” but I rarely missed one of your posts from that time on.

Looks good from here but what do I know I still have an old blogger account and a new free wordpress account.

    I don’t mind being considered a stalker.

  13. JasonNo Gravatar says:

Heh…don’t mean to laugh, but it’s a sad day when Blogger is more reliable than WordPress.

Well, play, dammit, play, woman. You deserve it.

Lol…feel free to steal my avatar…might be changing, as I just learned that somebody here in Oxford apparently has a pic of me, lol, being just a tad fun myself with friends (Johnny Walker, good. Jason doing shots of JW…bad.)

  14. kaitNo Gravatar says:

I have not checked into that thing since I signed up but you know I’m a facebook whore, I wish you’d come back …

You are fun when you play, something so few know.

  15. kaitNo Gravatar says:

I meant to say you are fun when you come out to play.

  16. cooperNo Gravatar says:

mojo: Yeah I’m thinking of just dying mojo…lol

inde: A mighty fine face it is inde.

Doug: I’m extremely well maintained and not only on the back end.

Yes I do call them stalkers…

oc: Always.……and I didn’t even have to look that one up…

pia: Sometimes one must throw away the specifics.…..

jacob: I enjoy all my stalkers I think it is important to have as many as possible.

jason: self hosted wordpress is different, I’ve never had an issue with the free wordpress but the self hosted allows not only me to mess up the insides but my host to mess up the insides.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen you show up on myblog log. I imagine quite a few people in Oxford have your picture by now Jason.

kait: yes you are a fb whore, and thanks I am fun to play with most of the time.

I hosed my own sight and then forgot what i named it,

    I’m lookig for it now.

I’m student teaching and we had a few minutes where we discussed blogs.

    Seriously, I’m debating my blog.
There’s only a hand full or items I’d actually want to hold on to just for reference sake.

The side bar thing is nice, but is it. another reason to spam me?

  19. johnNo Gravatar says:

    ha,

I remember old posts from dj but didn’t read your blog the first year,.I’m not sure I knew it was here. I think you were hiding it.

    No ugly here is right.

You’re good when you play, you play not often enough.

  20. cooperNo Gravatar says:

You all look really cute on my sidebar keep-em coming I am easy to entertain these days.

jen: How lovely to see you again. where ya teaching? See jake or casey as he calls himself these days?

Bennet seriously move to wordpress, I’m hating on the blogspotters these days.

john: I was just tired of everyone and yea everyone here is beautiful. I play as much as I have time to play, one wrong move and zap — I’m out of the running.

  21. I wish I could remember the things I wrote two years ago.

  22. cooperNo Gravatar says:

Inde: I know you probably remember every word you ever wrote, at least somewhere in the deep dark recess of your mind.

  23. sauerkrautNo Gravatar says:

I’m not a stalker. I’m just your everyday loveable visitor.
